A trip to a local business is a regular event for most people. Whether meeting a friend for coffee, going to the bank or shopping. Unfortunately, all too often there are barriers to access that challenge the ability of older people with access difficulties and people with disability to participate in such activities. Inaccessibility also presents major problems for parents with prams and other people with temporary mobility difficulties, such as having a leg in plaster. Access Aware will help these people find businesses and facilities they can use and access in comfort.

Access Aware also has an important role to play in informing business managers of ways (often just minor changes) in which they may alter their businesses to make them more accessible to people with access difficulties.

Register your business and become a Contributor

Are you are interested in having your business listed? If so to become a Contributor you must have an access key before your business can be added to the directory. Please contact Access Aware to submit an expression of interest or phone 1800 029 904 and we will arrange for your access key to be forwarded to you.

Contributor

If you have already been supplied with your access key please enter it below and submit. You can then answer the questions on access to your business premises and publish the results, just follow the prompts. We will then use our networks to promote the website to people with access difficulties. Thank you for participating.
